Be prepared to be inspired by unapologetic women

WHEN’s annual conference will take place online between 13-17 June 2022.

At the 2022 WHEN annual conference – titled ‘Unapologetically Women: Celebrating the challenges that make us stronger’ – an incredible array of speakers will focus on the challenges that women face and how embracing them and supporting others can make everybody stronger.

Guests will explain how they have overcome challenges caused by hormones, fertility, pronouns, parenting, menopause, microaggressions, pregnancy loss, domestic violence and much more.

With the aim of creating a psychologically safe space for learning and support – so delegates can access innovative thinking and ideas and make new connections – the conference is expected to attract more than 250 women working in universities across the UK. These include researchers, lecturers, professors and women involved in professional services, including HR, finance, marketing, school administration and student services.

The conference will consist of live sessions, keynote speeches, a Pecha Kucha session, panel discussions and various workshops.

Keynote speakers will discuss ‘Hidden strengths: the challenges women face and recognise how overcoming them makes us stronger’ while the panel discussion will look at ‘Biology’s burden’. Workshops will cover such subjects as ‘Imposter syndrome’, ‘Balancing hormones with nutrition’ and ‘Exploring gender and identities’.
